The Visa Office of the Australian Embassy in Manila continuously strives to deliver excellent client service and meet the needs of clients. As such, the Visa Office has contracted PIASI to provide a suite of services that assist with the lodgement of visa applications. These options are designed to be more convenient and accessible, especially for those residing outside Metro Manila.

In order to provide a better service that suits the needs of our clients, PIASI offers a range of options for the lodgement of visa applications. These include a Call Center - which is staffed by professionally trained Customer Service Representatives - and the VIA Centre - where prospective visa applicants can walk-in and personally lodge a visa application. Both facilities operate six (6) days per week.

This website provides more details on the different services provided by PIASI and the VIA Centre. We trust this will assist you in lodging a complete application for a visa to Australia.

Who we are?

Since July 2010 PIASI is authorised, under contract with the Australian Government (The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)), to provide a range of visa related services. These services include:




Your information - your privacy

Under contract we are bound to manage your personal information in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs) in the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Personal information basically means any information where you are reasonably identifiable.


The Privacy Policy does not apply to PIASI employee records, which are generally exempt from the legislation.


Your right to privacy

The Privacy Act gives you a number of rights, including the following:




Disclosure of Information by DIBP

Disclosure of personal information must be in accordance with IPP 11 of the Privacy Act. Examples of when DIBP may disclose personal information can be viewed on the visa application form. Additional information can be found on DIBP's forms 993i Safeguarding your personal information and 1243i Your personal identifying information.


Disclosure of Information by PIASI

PIASI may disclose personal information to sub-contractors such as data processing companies, courier companies and their officers, employees, agents and representatives for the purpose of providing PIASI's services for DIBP. All sub-contractors will be required to also adhere to the Information Privacy Principles in the Australian Privacy Act.


Access to and Correction of Information

Your visa application and any documents you provide are forwarded to the appropriate Australian Mission for processing. PIASI does not retain or store any of your documents. If you wish to pursue access to the documents you can lodge a Freedom of Information request with DIBP, details of which can be located on DIBP's website.


Where there is an administrative error, mistakes can be corrected under the Privacy Act. The types of corrections that fall within this category are:



Only obvious errors will be amended under the Privacy Act, if it does not raise questions of the person's identity.


Transfer, Storage and Security of Information

PIASI takes reasonable steps to protect the security of applicants' personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. PIASI regularly reviews and implements new security and encryption technologies for the protection of personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure.


While PIASI strives to protect such information, PIASI cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted by applicants to PIASI or obtained from PIASI's online services. Accordingly, the use of our online products is at your own risk.


Once any personal information comes into possession, PIASI is contractually required to protect that information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.


Privacy Matters and Complaints

If you wish to obtain any information about how PIASI has handled your personal information you can request the information via PIASI complaint's process, details of which can be located on the PIASI website. Generally PIASI will respond within two working days and details of your enquiry and our response will be forwarded to the Manila post Visa Office.


If you consider that PIASI has not adhered to the IPPs you can lodge a complaint with the Australian Privacy Commissioner who has the power to investigate all complaints. What You should Know When Applying for a Visa

STEP 2: Complete the required Application Form
Applicant is required to complete an Application Form.

STEP 3: Gather all supporting documents required based on the visa being applied for
Please ensure that you provide all the basic and specific additional documents required of the visa being applied for.
All supporting documents required are submitted together with the completed Application Form.

STEP 4: Lodge the Visa Application
Lodgment of the Visa Application is the submission of the Completed Visa Application Form accompanied by all the required supporting documents for processing by the Australian Embassy

An applicant may choose from any of the following options to lodge his/her VISA application:

1. Phone-in / Book for a roundtrip Courier Service.
This service is a phone-in option that includes the pick up of the completed Application Form and supporting documents from the applicant's given address and delivery after processing at the Embassy. This service is available nationwide and involves a flat rate; roundtrip courier fee.

2. Walk-in / Direct Lodgment at the VIA Centre
This is a walk-in option where an applicant or an authorized representative can directly submit the completed Application Form and supporting documents at the Embassy's Visa Information and Application (VIA) Centre. This option involves a lodgment service & handling fee which includes the one-way delivery by courier after processing.

The Call Center is the embassy's phone-in service facility that interested visa applicants can call to obtain current information and advise related to applying for a Visa to Australia . The Call Center is manned by professionally trained Customer Service Representatives ready to answer your queries and assist you in relation to your visa application requirements.

An interested applicant may contact the Call Center to avail any of the following services:

A. Obtain Pre-Lodgment Information on Visa Requirements and Procedures
B. Book for Courier Service (subject to courier charges):


  • To lodge a Visa Application - P 320.00 per passport for roundtrip courier service ( includes pick-up and delivery)
  • To submit additional documents required by embassy after lodgment - P 160.00 per passport for one-way courier pick-up service
  • To request for delivery of application forms, information sheets, or embassy booklets - P 160.00 one way courier delivery service
  • PHP 160.00 per applicant for Additional documents required by the embassy after lodgement



    The Call Center is open to serve you from the convenience of your home or office. It is available nationwide and may be contacted through any of the following numbers:

    This service is available thru a toll call charge costing PHP 32.00 per minute excluding VAT and applicable NDD charges for calls made outside Metro Manila. Additional rates may apply for calls made through payphones, prepaid phone cards or mobile phones. Please check with your telephone provider for details.

    To obtain information regarding visa requirements and application process, you may call our free Visa Information number at (2) 845-9200. (Local NDD rates apply for calls made outside Metro Manila.)

    For overseas access please call our International Hotline number at (+632) 845-9211. Calls will be billed at a flat rate AUD10.00. Payment can only be made through a Mastercard, Visa Credit Card or American Express. (International Direct Dialing (IDD) rates apply. Please check with your telephone provider for details).

    Customer Service Representatives Will Be Available To Assist Callers Daily (Except During Public Holidays)

    Mondays Thru Saturdays: 8:00am To 6:00pm

    To obtain information regarding visa requirements and application process, you may call our Free Visa Information number at (02) 845-9200. Customer Service Representatives will be available to assist callers Mondays thru Fridays from
    8:00am - 5:00pm, and Saturdays from 8:00am - 12:00nn.

    For overseas access please call our International Hotline number at (63-2) 845 9211. Mondays thru Saturdays from 8:00am - 6:00pm.

    The VIA Centre is a service facility where visa applicants can conveniently walk-in and personally obtain current information and advise related to applying for a visa to Australia .

    At the VIA, an interested applicant is personally assisted by a professionally trained customer service agent on the requirements and process of lodging a complete visa application to Australia. Aside from pre-lodgment assistance, applicants with completed visa applications and required supporting documents may successfully lodge their visa application for Australia at the VIA.

    The VIA is one among other options available to an interested applicant in which to obtain information and gain assistance to make a complete and successful visa application for lodgment at the Australian Embassy. Aside from the walk-in option that the VIA Centre provides, the other options available are calling the embassy Call Center or visiting the website of the Australian Embassy in Manila at http://www.philippines.embassy.gov.au

    The services available at the VIA Centre are visa related services such as:

    VIA Centre Charges
    Information and personal assistance on pre-lodgment requirements are available free of charge. A handling fee to cover administrative cost & one-way courier service is however assessed as follows:

    VIA Centre Makati

    Service fee for Submission of Visa Application (inclusive of taxes and one-way nationwide delivery by courier)

    -PHP 700.00 per Applicant/Passport.

    Service fee for Visa Evidencing/Stamping (inclusive of taxes and one-way nationwide delivery by courier)

    -PHP 350.00 per passport.

    Service fee for submission of Additional Documents

    -PHP 60.00 per transaction.

    VIA Centre Cebu

    Service fee for Submission of Visa Application (inclusive of taxes and one-way nationwide delivery by courier)

    -PHP 900.00 per Applicant/Passport.

    Service fee for Visa Evidencing/Stamping (inclusive of taxes and one-way nationwide delivery by courier)

    -PHP 550.00 per passport.

    Service fee for submission of Additional Documents

    -PHP 60.00 per transaction.


    Please note that the above handling fees are in addition to the Visa Application Charge (VAC), both of which are not refundable. The VAC must be paid in the form of a Manager's Check payable to the Australian Embassy. VAC payments in cash will not be accepted.

    Please note that Lodgment Services & Submission of Additional Documents will be served from Mondays to Fridays, 8:30am-3:30pm and Saturdays 8:00am-11:00am.
